Dressage Geelong Official Dressage Day: Saturday 28 November 2015

Dressage Geelong has a new committee and big plans for their Official Dressage Day on Saturday 28 November.  To be held at Elcho Park, Lara, it will be a “warm up” event for the upcoming Victorian Dressage Festival which will take place 10-13 December. 

Dressage Geelong will offer the same tests that are to be ridden at the Dressage Festival, from Preliminary to Grand Prix.  As well, the event will be a qualifier for the 2016 Dressage with the Stars with Young Horse & Pony classes on offer.

One of the few clubs to offer cash prize money to eligible classes, with the help of Dressage Geelong’s sponsors, there will also be a great range of prizes on offer. 

Membership is now open, great savings can be made with reduced entry fees and priority entry if classes are over-subscribed.

Dressage Geelong is liaising the Friends of Elcho Park to ensure the best quality arenas will be on offer at this popular venue which is so easily accessible via the Princes Freeway and the Geelong Ring Road. 

The new committee hopes that riders will get behind the club for this upcoming event and they also hope to conduct other activities such as training clinics, unofficial competitions and protocol days. 

“We would really like to see Dressage expand throughout the South West of Victoria as we feel the interest is there and we would like it to be popular and affordable to everyone” said new Dressage Geelong committee member Jan Smith.   

Entries for the event on the 28 November 2015 close on 11 November and can be made on the official Equestrian Victoria entry form and mailed to PO Box 2068, Geelong, 3220.
