EA Club Development Grant Recipients Announced
15 more clubs from around Australia will receive a funding boost as part of Equestrian Australia (EA)’s recent round of Club Development Grants.
It is the second time that EA has offered $30,000 in funding assistance to affiliated clubs and this recent round attracted 144 applications, more than double the number received in the first year.
Some of the projects to be supported include funding for water pumps, dressage arenas and timing equipment as well as judges clinics and mentoring sessions. View the full list of recipients here.
Clubs were assessed by representatives from EA and the state branches on how they engage and work with their current membership base, their participation in EA activities and their track record of encouraging participation in club events.
Equestrian Australia CEO Grant Baldock, said clubs play an important role in sport development and the EA Club Development grants would directly assist clubs in building their participant base.
“EA’s Club Development Grants have provided funding to 31 clubs, assisting financially with facility upgrades, purchasing of new equipment and education programs.
The funding offers clubs an opportunity to build upon the services which they offer to their members and ultimately works to increase participation levels of equestrian sport at a community level.
It is pleasing to see regional areas sharing in the funding with clubs as far away as Sheffield (near Devonport) in Tasmania to Katherine in the Northern Territory benefiting from the initiative.”
