EA National Award Nominations Now Open

Equestrian Australia has advised that nominations are now open to all members the following categories. Download your form today and send your nomination to EA by Friday 8 April 2011.

EA Special Services–This award is to recognise individuals or organisations that have contributed over a number of years. This award may be given to persons who have worked over a longer period or contributed through a number of extraordinary single efforts, for the horse, its breeding, its “keeping”, for Equestrian sport or generally in the horse industry.
Event Volunteer of the Year – This award is to recognise the outstanding dedication and achievements of volunteers who have given their services to the running of Equestrian events and have not received remuneration for their services.
Official of the Year – This award is to recognise the dedication and performance of Equestrian Australia officials who display a high level of excellence and to reward their continuing contribution to the sport.
Coach of the Year - This award is to recognise EA NCAS-registered coaches, coaching in a paid or unpaid capacity, whose athlete(s) or teams have achieved outstanding results whilst competing at the highest level in competition at senior or junior level during the nomination period, and where the contribution of the coach is thought to be significant.
Equestrian Domestic Athlete of the Year – This award is to recognise athletes who have had one or more exceptional performances within Australia during the year.
Equestrian International Athlete of the Year – This award is to recognise athletes who have had one or more exceptional performances during the year on international stage.
Domestic Horse of the Year – This award is to recognise horses that have had one or more exceptional performances during the year within Australia.
International Horse of the Year – This award is to recognise horses that have had one or more exceptional performances during the year overseas.
Owner of the YearThis award recognises the significant contribution that owners make in development and achievements of our equine partners.
Equestrian Event of the Year – This award is to recognise EA sanctioned events run by an EA Committee or an EA-affiliated Club or Show Society that have achieved a standard of excellence greater than that of other equestrian sporting events during the same period.
Club of the Year - This award is to recognise EA-affiliated clubs that have achieved a high standard of performance in governance, member development and event management.
Administrator of the Year – This award is to recognise the outstanding dedication and achievements of volunteer administrators who have given their services to EA, Equestrian clubs or events and have received no remuneration for their services.
Young Athlete of the Year – This award is a NEW award for 2009 and is to recognise the achievements of up and coming Young Equestrian athletes, aged 14-21, who have demonstrated significant talent, dedication & commitment to the Sport.
