Equestrian Australia and Pony Club Australia Renew Memorandum of Understanding

Published on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in General

Equestrian Australia (EA) and Pony Club Australia (PCA) are pleased to announce a renewal of their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The re-signing of the MOU reaffirms EA and PCA’s ongoing commitment to work together to achieve common goals of sport growth and development.

Projects such as the junior program Ready Set Trot and the skills recognition opportunities for coaches are two major outcomes of the EA/PCA collaboration.

Equestrian Australia CEO, Grant Baldock said close cooperation of the two organisations had led to successful outcomes and a renewed partnership would pave the way for the exploration of new opportunities.

“As joint program partners of Ready Set Trot, Equestrian Australia and Pony Club Australia have developed a successful beginner equestrian program that is opening the door for more young people to participate in equestrian sport.

“Recognition of Prior Leaning has made it easier for EA and PCA coaches to have their skills recognised by the other organisation.

“We look forward to collaborating with PCA and hope this continued partnership will lead to more new initiatives and improved benefits to members of both organisations.”

Pony Club Australia President, Carol Paterson said there has been significant progression in the relationships between the organisations and a positive future ahead.

“Giant steps have been taken since the first MOU in understanding and recognising the roles of each organisation in the equestrian world and we can look forward to seeing further cooperation.”

Ready Set Trot is a joint initiative of Equestrian Australia and Pony Club Australia and is supported by the Australian Sports Commission.
