Equestrian Victoria Fire Relief Fund

In the wake of Victoria’s bushfire disaster, Equestrian Victoria (EV) has partnered with Horse Riding Club Association of Victoria (HRCAV) and the Pony Club Association of Victoria (PCAV) to establish the Equestrian Victoria Fire Relief Fund. 

The groups are working together to provide a coordinated approach of assistance; donated funds or goods and the volunteering of time to assist those affected with the rebuild of property or shared equestrian facilities.

Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre (WPNEC), located at 170 K Road, Werribee, which will this weekend host the Barastoc Horse of the Year Show, will be a collection point for the donation of goods.

Veterinarians have advised that bandages, skin creams, gauze wrapping, water buckets, lead ropes and headstalls are the most in demand items for those horse’s effected. Goods can be delivered to WPNEC Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm.

The Fund will also coordinate a volunteer effort in partnership with municipalities local to the affected areas, Mitchell Shire Council and the Macedon Ranges Shire Council, with all offers of volunteer assistance to be directed to info@equestrianvictoria.com.au.
