The magnificent Friesian stallion, Braggo S, owned by Katrina Routson, has won the Breed Showcase Finale

EQUITANA is over for 2014! It's been another amazing year showcasing all things horsey, however, it's back to the real world now.

As the echo of hoofbeats and cheers subsides and everyone disperses to different corners of Australia - and indeed the globe - we hope you all take something of value with you, whether it's new knowledge, new friends, an amazing purchase (or 10) or simply the memory of watching the best horses in the country compete. After all, it is all about the horses - love for these astounding animals is what brought us all together in the first place!

We will announce the winners of the HORSEZONE powered by HORSE FIRST competition in the news section and in the newsletter this week - so stay tuned. My interviews with Lynn Palm and Charlotte Dujardin will also be published in HORSEZONE news and in the newsletter.

It's been fantastic catching up with everyone and we look forward to doing it all again at the next EQUITANA!

Meanwhile, here are our highlights from today:

Stand out Stand - TuffRock

TuffRock’s volcanic product range includes a wide variety of items that help our animals in so many different ways, including the famous Tuff Rock poultice. TuffRock is continuously developing new products and carrying out research and development.

Essential Retail Therapy Experiences

I thought I might have made it through this EQUITANA without buying another Hitchley & Harrow shirt - I love them so much - but it wasn't to be and a new one is coming back to Queensland with me. So is a skirt. And a belt. It had to be done!

Sarah needed some new gloves and loved the range available at Birds Equisports - they are beautifully made, lightweight and come in a range of beautiful colours.

Coveted Items of the Day

Today's stand out coveted item is an Equipe Emporio Dressage Saddle - the same saddle that Charlotte Dujardin rides in. Charlotte was in the Equipe stand this afternoon signing autographs and I bet every person in the long line waiting to meet her would love one of these saddles!

Tim has chosen the other coveted item of the day - the Rat Barrow, which is a ride on wheelbarrow! These amazing machines would take all the hard work out of chores around the property. In fact it would make them fun.
