EQUITANA Opening Night - Not to be Missed!

Thursday 10 November at the Sydney Showground is a day that you should definitely grab a ticket for - whether you are a dedicated Cutting or Reining fan, or if you just like great action, unbeatable training experiences and fantastic entertainment!

Opening Day kicks off with a Masterclass by world renowned Cutting Celebrity from the USA, Bobby Ingersoll, who will show you his approach to training with “feel” in a way that enhances any methods you have learnt to date.

Then it’s time for the EQUITANA Australian Open Cutting Championships, which concludes the Open Cutting Series 2011, providing an exciting showcase of Australia’s elite cutting horses and riders.  Only with a keen eye, lightening movements and complete trust in their partner will the combination walk away with a victory.  This high adrenaline action will have you gripping your seats.

At 3.00pm, the Amazing Stacy Westfall (Ohio, USA) will present her three hour, specialist horsemanship clinic.  Stacy is an AQHA and NRHA Freestyle Reining Champion, winning twice riding bridle-less AND bareback.  She will open your eyes to a whole new world of training and riding possibilities.

Then when the sun goes down, the lights, music and entertainment come up!

The EQUITANA Australian Open Reining Championships promises a night of beauty and athleticism at its very best. This incredibly testing sport showcases the seemingly effortless movements of the elite western trained horse.  With patterns punctuated by high-action spins and slides - all to fabulous, foot stomping music! - you will be screaming with excitement!

But Opening Night at EQUITANA Sydney guarantees much more for your money!  As part of the festivities,  the fabulous musical family, “The Twine”, who were barely piped at the post in last year’s Australia’s Got Talent competition, will deliver a performance full of exuberance and energy.   Then, to top off an already jam-packed program, special US guest, Stacy Westfall, will join in the riding entertainment.   So don’t miss EQUITANA “Opening Night” – It will be a night to remember!
