Experts Call for Better Planning for Saving Animals from Natural Disasters

A north Queensland RSPCA inspector says Australia is behind the United States when it comes to disaster management planning for large animals, mainly horses and cattle, in flood, fire and cyclone events.
Selina Neill, from Mackay, delivered her message during a visit by US large animal rescue expert Dr Rebecca Gimenez, who's in Australia delivering training to SES volunteers, RSPCA officers, horse owners and vets.
