Foal Frolics Photo Competition 2013/14 Winners!

Published on Thursday, February 6, 2014 in General

In August 2013 we started our annual Horsezone Foal Frolics Photo Gallery and by the time the competition closed last Friday night, well over 100 gorgeous foals of all breeds, sizes and colours, were featured in the Gallery.

Thank you to everyone who shared their beautiful baby photos with us, it's been a pleasure watching the gallery grow as new additions joined our horsey population.

Following the close of the competition the seemingly impossible job of choosing the Top 10 and then the Top 3 was undertaken by our judges. This extremely difficult task had all judges commenting that they wished everyone could win, as all the foals are adorable and obviously the pride of their owners. Choosing the Top 10 was hard enough, however, picking the Top 3 definitely caused sleepless nights. View the 2013/14 Foal Frolics Gallery and you will see what we mean!

The Top 3 have each won a Horsezone jacket, while the others in the Top 10 will receive a Horsezone Prize Pack.

Even though (sadly!) all entrants can't be the winners of the competition, congratulations are in order for everyone who has foals in the Gallery - your babies are beautiful. We wish them all a long and happy life!

Now, without further ado, here are the winners and Top 10 photos from the 2013/2014 Foal Frolics Photo Gallery!

SPECIAL AWARD

Sadly this family didn't have a foal to share with us - anyone who breeds horses knows that some foals are too good for this world - we thought this pic was a lovely tribute to a lost baby... "My 5yo daughter Maya comforting our t/b mare Mystery after just losing her foal (stillborn) I realise this section is for foal frolics, but this photo captured a beautiful moment during a sad time. It highlights how horses connect with us on so many lelvel. They look into your soul." Kerri Rees

Thanks for allowing my photo to be part of Foal Frolicks. I am sure there are horses owners, breeders and lovers who can sadly relate to the experience of losing a precious foal. Well done to all the entrants and the winners. Each photo made me smile from the inside out!
