Franshar Park K Shar Wins First Arabian Race

Arabian horses raced for the first time since the 1990s in Victoria, at Caulfield, on Saturday.  The 1600 metre, $20,000 Shadwell Arabian Mile was won by 14 year old Franshar Park K Shar, who is owned by Virginia Dodson.  Franshar Park K Shar won by 10 lengths from Blakes Heaven Bombora, a 10 year old gelding who was making his racecourse debut having previously competed in endurance events and third place went to Halimas Esdikarn.
