Get Spotted at the Australian Appaloosa National Show

From Friday 25 - 30 March everyone in Tamworth will be seeing spots when the 39th National Appaloosa Championships take over AELEC!

The program will begin with the National Futurities from 1pm on Friday 25 March, followed by the Official Show opening, Yearling Versatility Halter, Most Colourful at Halter and the hotly contested $1,000 Halter Classic.

Dressage will see some exciting awards with the Highest Placed % Dressage test being awarded for each Judge, as well as the High Point Traditional English Horse, in addition to the ever popular High Point English Horse Awards.

The AAA Ltd Annual General Meeting will be held at 7pm on the 26 March, followed by the End of Year High Point Presentation Evening, which will be held on the Mezzanine Level in front of the Bar.

The Horseland Dubbo $1,000 Hunter Under Saddle Classic will be held to end the day's program on 27 March. This is a significant English event, where fabulous Sponsor Horseland, has donated a Bates Caprilli Close Contact Saddle for the winner, who will also receive $500 in prizemoney. If you are not entered be sure to not miss this!

The AAYA and AAAA Annual General Meetings will follow the Hunter Under Saddle Classic. Times are to be advised and announced on the day.

The highly anticipated Ivy’s Western Wear $1,000 Champagne Western Pleasure, will be exhibited on Monday 28 March, adding to the excitement of this prestigious event, the generous Sponsor is donating a Western Show Saddle to the winner, who will also receive $500 in prize money. Come along and bid for your favourite in our Calcutta. This is the must see event of the National Show.

29 March will see 2 exciting Classic Events, the Matt Hanson Concreting $1,000 Western Horsemanship Classic and the Australian Genetics Testing Pty Ltd $1,000 Trail Classic.

The wonderful new events for the Youth and Amateur Associations this year will be the Versatility Event. The winner of each Youth and Amateur versatility will take home a buckle and $250 prize money. Information on this versatility and how they will run can be found on the AAA Website under show rules and regulations.

At the completion of the National Show program on the 30 March the official presentations of the 39th National Appaloosa Championships High Point Awards will be made.

Entries closed on Friday 25 February, however, late Entries will be taken up until 4pm on Thursday 24th March, Double Fees Will Apply.
