Get Your Entries in for Second Chance Beginner’s Show: 24 May 2014

Second Chance Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation (SCHRAR) is a Western Australian, not for profit organization whose primary focus is to assist neglected, abandoned or abused equines. SCHRAR has rescued over 100 horses and improved the lives of countless others since its establishment in 2006. 

SCHRAR is pleased to announce its very popular beginner’s show is back for 2014. In previous years the show has attracted over 400 competitors and raised a significant amount for the organization, enabling it to continue to assist horses in need.

The show will be held on Saturday 24 May 2014 at Horseman’s Pony Club, Whiteman Park Equestrian Centre, Gnangara Rd and gates open at 8 am. SCHRAR Members receive discounted entry fees, and early bird registrations are encouraged to receive non-member discounted rates.

A mix of in-hand and ridden showing classes, as well as gymkhana games, fancy dress and showjumping will be on offer. The event is designed to provide encouragement to people who want to get started in competition or who compete at beginner level, and a fun day out for all. There will also be an opportunity to meet some of the Second Chance rescues.

“We are really excited to be holding another show – we know our members and the WA horse community have been showing a lot of interest in this event and it is wonderful to be able to confirm a date”, said Sue Leitch, President of SCHRAR. “Second Chance is grateful for the support it receives and we’re pleased to be able to offer a fun day of activities in return, and raise awareness at the same time.”

Second Chance is looking for sponsorship for the show and has several packages available. Tangible donations are also welcome.
