Guinot Sponsor Australian Equestrian Representative Sophie Warren
Guinot are delighted to announce a new sponsorship continuing our support for Australian female Equestrian riders. Sophie Warren, 24 years of age and based in West Australia joins local Mornington Peninsula rider Amanda Ross as keen supporters and users of Guinot no.1 skincare in France.
Both ladies are event riders and Sophie competes in both three day eventing and dressage. Recognising their sport as predominantly an outdoor activity, the harsh Australian environment can be even harder on your skin. A good skincare regime early on in life is vital. Guinot is distributed throughout Australia via salons and trained beauty therapists.
Sophie Warren grew up surrounded by horses and with the support of her parents, sponsors and owners, has developed a strong reputation in the Australian equestrian industry. An Australian Representative and currently competing FEI Dressage and Three Star Eventing, Sophie is known for her focus, professionalism and talent and has quickly come to the forefront of equestrian sport in WA and nationally.
Guinot chatted to Sophie to find out a little more about her views on skincare…
Why is skincare so important to you? Skincare is easy to forget about when you are younger but as my face is my greeting to everyone I meet, I want to look after it as best I can. I am out in the elements from 6am-7pm every day - if its hot and sunny, howling a gale or pouring rain and sleet, I'm out there riding and teaching so I need the very best protection and care for my skin to keep it healthy and looking young, as long as possible. The earlier I start the better my chances!
Do you have a daily routine? I have always been at a bit of a loss but with the guidance of the team at Guinot I now have a fast and easy morning and night routine specially tailored for my skin type and outdoor lifestyle.
What are your favourite products? I would have to say my Ultra UV Defense 50+ as it gives my face all-day protection without making it feel sticky or oily - there is nothing worse than ending up with a "dust moustache"! At the end of the day, after a good cleanse with Lait Hydra Fraicheur for all skin types, my Creme Hydra Beaute moisturizes and refreshes my skin ready for tomorrow's activities!
Why did you feel a partnership with Guinot skincare was a good fit? I don't want to be looking 10 years older than I am when I get to 30 or even 40 years of age - so I am thrilled to be able to work with an enthusiastic family run company to help raise awareness about skincare in a sport that is largely dominated by women - and we all work outdoors 12-14 hours each and every day! It's easy to forget our own care in our efforts to put our horses first. Now I make sure I get the care I need as well!
