Harness Horse Bolts and Driver Injured, Burnie Show, Tasmania
Published on Friday, September 30, 2011 in General
Sideshows seem to have struck again as the cause of an accident at an agricultural show!
A harness horse at Burnie Show, Tasmania, appeared to be frightened by the sideshow rides and tried to bolt. The driver attempted to control the terrified horse, but a sharp swerve caused the carriage to tip and he was thrown out of the carriage, while a young girl was left sitting in the back seat.
The driver had to be treated for a suspected hip injury at the scene and was taken to hospital, while the young passenger was unhurt, but no doubt terrified!
