Hawkesbury is struck by equestrian sensation - EquiFest!

Hawkesbury Showground in New South Wales will see an equestrian celebration like no other at the end of this month, starting Thursday 30 March through to Sunday 2 April, 2017. 

Spanning four full days and showcasing 900 horses and 800 competitors, EquiFest, Australia’s Festival of Equestrian will host a variety of competitions including: dressage, show jumping, showing, the Australia versus EIAF New Zealand Show Jumping Test, and Australia’s largest wall high jump competition - the 2.34 metre high J K Williams Puissance Wall.

“Australia’s very best horse riders will be competing in what will be an equestrian celebration. Building on the success of last year’s inaugural EquiFest Australia, we have created what we believe is an even better program for our competitors and guests this time round,” said Kevin Hansen, Director of EquiFest.

“One thing in I’m particularly proud of is this year we will be bringing the Puissance Wall back to Australia for the first time in 30 years.”

The Hawkesbury Showgrounds, located in the heartland of rural Sydney, will be host to this years’ myriad of multi-discipline equestrian events. In addition to the competitions, there will be around 100 exhibition sites across the grounds where attendees can buy a wide range of equestrian goods, from equestrian gear to horse feed.

“There’s a lot on offer over the four days, and bringing 900 horses together in one place is not only an impressive feat, but a pretty rare occurrence. It’s certainly set to be one of Australia’s greatest equestrian events.”
