Heath and Rozzie Ryan Partner with Kelato on the Road to the Olympics

Published on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in General

The Ryans are one of the most influential and inspiring forces in the Australian Equestrian world and today announce their partnership with leading equine health company Kelato Animal Health.

The sponsorship announcement comes as the focus at Ryan’s Horses shifts increasingly into Olympic mode ahead of selection for the Tokyo 2020 Games. With over a hundred horses in schooling, Heath says, “We also have eight riders competing across Australia on our behalf who are Olympic contenders. We feel that Kelato Animal Health is an important partner to have on this journey and our bid for competition success.”

Heath and Rozzie Ryan need no introduction! Their names are synonymous not only with each other but with Equestrian sport, both having represented Australia at Olympic, World Cup and WEG level as well as playing a major role in the training of countless other riders to elite level in Dressage and Eventing.

From the Ryan’s Horses base at Heatherbrae north of the New South Wales city of Newcastle, the husband and wife team are recognised as much for their competition success and experience as their passion for and dedication to breeding, training and selling horses of the finest quality for both the Australian and international market.

They are firm believers in maximising the health of their horses to ensure peak performance, and it’s for this reason they chose to partner with Kelato. Rozzie explains, “Operating at the top in the Equestrian world is all about servicing your horse. We do look back on the days where it was purely about having fun with some nostalgia but the reality is that today the focus is on the pursuit of excellence and that’s determined by the wellbeing and longevity of the horse. Supplementing their health is critical and Kelato’s products are superior, cutting edge and they work. We are excited about the relationship.”

Kelato Animal Health CEO Colin Blackhall also believes it’s a partnership with great opportunity, “we are proud of our products, and are thrilled that their quality and the benefits they provide horses have been recognised by the Ryans who have vast knowledge and experience in equine management. We are proud to be associated with Ryan’s Horses and to be part of their Olympic journey.”

The Ryans have nominated key Kelato products including GastroAID, NutriFLEX, SwellDOWN, BetaCALM Paste and LoosenUP as those that will immediately become part of their regime. Colin believes their endorsement of these products and the range as a whole will draw wider attention to the subject of equine nutrition. “Kelato’s mission has always been to help people ensure their horses are feeling well. We hope that through partnering with the Ryans, we can spread awareness about issues such as digestive health, joint and tendon strength, coat nourishment and muscular recovery.”

Kelato Animal Health is one of only a handful of sponsors of Ryan’s Horses. So particular are they about the companies they choose to embrace that prior to Kelato coming on board, they last took on a sponsor a decade ago. Heath also admits to having been sceptical of the benefits of supplements in the past but after meticulous research, recognises the genuine results brought about by products produced using the latest research in equine health and nutrition. “There are no short cuts or room for anything but the essentials in an Olympic campaign. The quality of Kelato’s products, their proven results and the fact that they pose no risk of compromising the FEI rules under which we compete means they’re a crucial part of this journey.”

Kelato Animal Health is proud to be part of Ryan’s Horses and looks forward to a long and successful partnership, not only for the benefit of Heath and Rozzie’s equine team but horses across Australia through the exposure of and education about health, wellbeing and the link between horses feeling well and performing well.
