Medication

If you have been prescribed a powered medication or some pills and your horse will not take them, try this hint.

Mix the powder or grind up the pills into foods that will appeal to your horse. Some are listed below:

Peanut butter
Honey
Yoghurt
Pureed apple or baby food
Apple sauce
Apple – cut into quarters, hide the powder into slits in the quarters, make sure the first one you give your horse has no medication in.

The list of foods to hide your medication in is endless, above are just some ideas to get you started. Once you find the food that your horse can not resist, giving medication this way will never be a problem for you again.
