The Queensland Government is encouraging all horse owners and handlers across Queensland to obtain a Hendra virus information pack, which outlines how they can reduce the risk of their horses becoming infected. 

The pack includes information on:

• what Hendra virus is
• how to protect your horses
• what to do if your horse becomes ill.
