Kinnordy Gym - Advanced Dressage Horse - is for sale!

Specifics: Kinnordy Gym is a 10 year old 17hh dappled brown gelding, registered Australian Hanoverian by Gymnastik Star out of the Daktylus mare, Kinnordy Dora.  Bred by Kinnordy Stud, he was purchased as a youngster by current rider and owner, Betty Brown who will be competing this weekend at the Bates New Zealand Dressage Championships in Fielding.

On our A-list because: amongst his many other attributes, Kinnordy Gym is by Kinnordy Stud's resident sire Gymnastik Star.  This accomplished stallion's oldest progeny are 11 year olds and he needs little introduction as the sire of some exciting up and comers, including in New Zealander Julie Brougham’s talented trio Gym Star One, Kinnordy Gallium and Kinnordy Glogou, while top Australian Dressage rider Brett Parberry has recently purchased Good As Gold.

Of the offspring of their treasured stallion Kinnordy Stud’s Melanie Schmorl said “Gymnastik Star’s progeny all have a lot of presence with great temperaments and very elastic movement”

“He’s a multi-talented sire as they are not only proving stars in the dressage arena - there are some exciting young horses coming through the showjumping and eventing ranks as well.”

To enhance his A-list status, Kinnordy Gym is currently competing at Advanced level dressage and has been a consistently successful performer since he was a four year old, with highlights including being crowned the North Island’s Champion Five Year Old and the Elementary Horse of the Year.
