Horses are heroes at the Sunshine Coast Mane Event

The Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Inc will celebrate everything about horses and life in the country on Sunday, July 30 when the organisation hosts the Sunshine Coast Mane Event at the Sunshine Coast RDA Equestrian Centre at North Arm.

The Sunshine Coast community and those living further afield are all invited to come along to enjoy performances by popular rural act Rooftop Express, which includes amazing horsemanship, world class stunts and true blue Australian comedy, and a long list of spectacular arena shows.

The Sunshine Coast Mane Event will also feature pony rides, hay rides, games and activities for children as well as rural and trade displays, arena demonstrations and market style food and entertainment, as well as art displays, lots of animals, and interesting information sessions providing everything you need to know about horses and all sorts of rural related activities.

A unique event will be the World’s First International Hobby Horse competition.  Hobby Horse Competition has become a very popular way to exercise and socialise in Europe and the Sunshine Coast RDA has brought this to the Coast with Freestyle Dressage and Jumping Competitions on the list of events.  Hobby Horse information and entry details are available on www.hobbyhorserider.com

Riding for the Disabled Operations Manager Coralie Kedzlie said the day will be a fantastic opportunity for the community to have some good old fashioned fun in the country.

“We are very excited about the Mane Event because it is designed to celebrate the achievements of our organisation and at the same time it is an opportunity for us to acknowledge the generous support that we receive from the community,” Coralie said.  “We couldn’t do it without our sponsors.”
