The Dressage Queensland Young Rider Committee hosted the IC Frith 2012 Young Rider Dressage Championships over the weekend at QSEC, with riders from all over Queensland and New South Wales attending the event.

Unfortunately the Queensland weather was not as perfect as it could have been, with conditions more like Victoria than the sunshine state, however, rain and freezing wind did not seem to dampen the spirits of competitors.

Horsezone sponsored the Pony Medium Championship with the Pony Medium 4C being won by River Downs Eclipse ridden by Stephanie Poulsen and the Pony Medium 4B being taken out by Tilley Park Topcat and Eliza Cullen. Theresa Heinrichs and Kings Pride placed second in the Pony Medium 4C and third in the 4B.

Congratulations to Stephanie Poulsen and River Downs Eclipse on winning the Horsezone Pony Medium Championship and Theresa Heinrichs and Kings Pride on getting the Reserve Championship.

It was a pleasure to watch these young riders and their ponies, who presented a polished and professional image during their tests.
