IC Frith 2012 Young Rider Dressage Championships Starts Tomorrow

The Dressage Queensland Young Rider Committee is proud to present the IC Frith 2012 Young Rider Dressage Championships! We are welcoming riders from all over Queensland as well as New South Wales and the event is shaping up as a fantastic showcase of young rider talent.

The committee would like to acknowledge and thank the sponsors – all of whom are a vital part of the team. This year we are welcoming many new sponsors including Horsezone, sponsors of the Pony Medium Championship, Sandale Saddlery who are providing the kersey rugs for the freestyles, Dr Show, as well as IC Frith and Associates who have come on board in 2012 to support the Young Rider Squad and the Championships. There is continuing support from wonderful companies such as Prydes, Aitkens Saddlery and Emerleigh Embroidery and a host of others. The public profile of the wonderful sport of dressage continues to grow – thanks in no small way to the philanthropic policies of the companies who continue to get behind it.

Competition kicks off tomorrow Saturday June 9 at the Queensland State Equestrian Centre at Caboolture. There are two full days of action packed dressage featuring a great line-up of Young Riders. On Saturday afternoon, there will be the entertaining Freestyles to music, from Novice to Inter 1 level with some exciting horse and rider combinations.

In this Olympic Year, Australia can hold its head high with our London Dressage team being the strongest yet to compete at a games. It is at competitions such as these Championships that the Olympic journey begins. The organizing committee would like to thank all the volunteers and the judges for their continued passion for the sport of dressage not only in Queensland but throughout Australia. Good luck riders – may you be rewarded with your personal bests but above all enjoy the camaraderie and friendship of your fellow competitors. Best of luck to you all and enjoy the show.
