Julia Hargreaves and Vedor - Victorious at Sydney Royal World Cup

Published on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in General

The opening round of the 2011-12 FEI World Cup season held at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney is a good litmus test of our future jumping stocks and  judging by the number of under 10 year old horses who were in the top 10 placings, the future is bright.

The World Cup Class was proceeded by the Mini Prix and the quality and depth of future talent is also very promising.

Julia Hargreaves and Vedor the nine year old Indoctro gelding is the new combination to watch and 2011 has already seen the pair step up from a developing partnership to a very competitive and growing unit.  A very handy clear round in the Olympic Games Qualifying event in New Zealand last month really stamped this pair as a future Australian partnership and their emphatic win at the 2011 Sydney Royal Grand Prix consolidated their position.
