It's been a corker weekend at the international three-day Lignieres-en-Berry in France for 2014 New Zealand eventing high performance squad member Jonelle Richards.
Richards led from the start aboard Short Black in the CIC* Pikeur Trophy, finishing on her very smart dressage score of 39.2, and heading home world champ Michael Jung (GER) who had to settle for third aboard Halunke FBW.
Jung, however, dominated the CCI** winning aboard Leopin and placing second on Weidezaunprof's River of Joy, with Richards on Mere Oak in seventh spot. She had two other mounts in the class, on whom she finished 32nd and 41st.
Tim Price, Richards' partner, who was sitting in second spot on Vortex after the two star cross country, opted not to start the showjumping, but did finish in 15th place on Ringwood Sky Boy.
