Making a Real Difference - the Fools & Horses Charity Dinner

Published on Thursday, April 5, 2012 in General

Here’s your chance to cash in on some excellent odds at this weekend’s Fools & Horses charity dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney.

Taking place on Sunday (8 April), the evening is all about making a real difference to spinal cord injury research. The Spinal Cord Injury Network of Australia and The CatWalk Trust of New Zealand are collaborating on this evening with the ultimate aim to help Australasia take giant steps towards finding a cure for SCI.

CatWalk Trust Founder, Catriona Williams, says “We didn’t sign on for a picnic. If it was easy to raise these kinds of funds, everyone would be doing it. Our amazing committee of volunteers have put in huge amounts of hours and called on favours from every friend and contact they have to pull this event together. We are so humbled with the support we have received and are now looking forward to giving the guests on heck of a party!”

“Particular thanks must go to the Australian Racing Industry for the overwhelming support. We have Service Fees from Coolmore, Darley and Widden Studs, as well as prizes including Breakfast with Black Caviar, seats on Sydney Cup Day with Gai Waterhouse and a weekend stay at Arrowfield Stud. We have also had a direct line to the racing gods with phenomenal and unconditional support from Inglis since day one.”

Guests and non-guests have the opportunity to support spinal cord injury research and purchase tickets to a luxury raffle with two extraordinary prizes up for grabs.

Prize one is a truly unforgettable racing trip to Hong Kong including, return Business Class flights for two with Cathay Pacific, five glorious nights at the stunning Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and VIP passes to some of the most glamorous events the Hong Kong Jockey Club has to offer.

Prize two is a Paspaley South Sea pearl Marquise necklace and matching earrings with diamonds in 750 yellow gold.

Only 100 of the raffle tickets will be available for purchase at A$500 each. The first name drawn will have first pick of the two prizes.
