Matt Williams Finishes Seventh in $1 Million Grand Prix in New York

Published on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in General

45 riders from around the world tackled the enormous track at the Hits on the Hudson 2011 Pfizer Million on 11 September.

Matt Williams on his new ride Watch Me finished on 5 faults to claim seventh place.

Just two combinations jumped a clear first round to create a two horse jump-off,  Andre Thieme (GER)  on Aragon Rouet  and New Zealand’s Duncan McFarlane on Mr Whoopy.

McFarlane pulled two rails whilst Thieme produced another clear round to make his trip from Germany well worthwhile winning the coveted $US350,000.

It is exciting for Australia to see Matt Williams doing so well on Watch Me.  Well done Matt.
