Moot Yang Gunya Stockman's Challenge: Results & Photos

Held on the 7-8 March 2015 in the township of Mundulla, South Australia the Moot Yang Gunya Stockman’s Challenge was once again a huge success!  In perfect weather condition 54 riders competed across 5 events high lighting the skills of both horse and rider. 

Saturday saw a dry working pattern, a cattle work section where competitors had to work a beast through a set course and a whip crack section.

Sunday started with an obstacle course including a 30 second freestyle which showed some great horsemanship skills and proved to be very entertaining. A cross country course was then held in the picturesque Moot Yang Gunya Swamp consisting of 10 jumps over fallen logs.

The weekend was finished off with presentations across all sections with many a smile all round. The MYGSC Committee would like to thank our judge for the weekend Bevan Roberts and his wife Margaret for their tireless effort throughout the weekend.  Thank you to all our wonderful competitors from near and far for supporting our event.  To the many helpers throughout the weekend a big thank you.  Lastly a huge thank you to our generous sponsors who make our event possible!   We hope to see you all in 2016!
