New Cross Country Course for Gympie, Qld
Published on Friday, June 17, 2011 in General
A cross country course, being built on the banks of the Mary River, is set to be the best in the Sunshine Coast region and bring huge benefits to Gympie’s local economy.
The Gympie Pony Club is currently building the 2.5km, 20-fence jump course at the bottom of their Jane St grounds. The new course will be built to a pre-novice and one-star standard by local course builder Brett Cantle. The winding track will include a spectacular water jump, brick wall, barrel and log jumps.
Gympie Pony Club vice-president Carol Badger said the cross country course would cost the club upwards of $100,000 and would provide a perfect training and competing ground for riders of all ages and experience.
