'No' to Proposed Horse Manure Fine In Wagga

After recent suggestions that Wagga horse riders pay fines, if they don't pick up their horse's droppings whilst out riding, Council have confirmed that riders will not be charged a fine for leaving manure where it lands. Some residents thought it was reasonable that horse riders be fined the same way dog owners are charged, if they don't pick up their animals' droppings. Can you imagine riding around with a large plastic bag, then if your horse absolutely has to go, dismounting, picking up the manure in the plastic bag and disposing of it into a public park bin? Surely, it would be better if the park's staff used the nutrient-rich deposits as fertiliser?
