Nominations for Royal Melbourne Show Horses in Action Closing this Friday

Don't miss your chance to participate in the prestigious Horses in Action competition at the 2012 Royal Melbourne Show.

Nominations for the Australian Stock Horses, Heavy Horses, Light Harness, Saddle Section and Riding Competitions close on Friday 15 June 2012.

Schedules and provisional class timetable can be downloaded at www.rasv.com.au/horses.

Nominate online at www.rasv.com.au/horses and save $25 per exhibitor, or download nomination forms and submit by fax, post or in person.

The Royal Melbourne Show will run from Saturday 22 September to Tuesday 2 October at Melbourne Showgrounds.

Shetlands race to win an Apple iPad

The winner of the Shetland Steeplechase Final this year will win an Apple iPad thanks to the generous support of Mikani Park.

The top three placegetters from two heats will qualify to compete in the Shetland Steeplechase Final for the chance to take home this great prize. The times are:

• Heat 1 – 6.45pm, Wednesday 26 September
• Heat 2 – 6.45pm, Thursday 27 September
• Final – 6.45pm, Saturday 29 September

Entry in the Shetland Steeplechase is free and is open to riders 14 years and under. To nominate, visit www.rasv.com.au/horses. Stabling and parking will be made available during the heats and final at no charge.

 

2012 Garryowen Hall of Fame – Nominations Open

Nominations are now being taken for inductees into the 2012 Garryowen Hall of Fame. This is your opportunity to recognise and reward a rider, horse or person who has made an outstanding contribution to the success of the Garryowen Equestrienne Turnout.

To nominate an inductee for possible selection into the Garryowen Hall of Fame please download and complete the Garryowen Hall of Fame nomination form and submit to: Equestrian Events Coordinator, RASV, Melbourne Showgrounds, Epsom Road, Ascot Vale, VIC 3032; or fax 03 9281 7569.
