At 10.00am on Sunday 11 March, Oaks Sport Horses - located at Burragorang Road, The Oaks, NSW - will be holding a Gala Open Day to christen their outstanding new indoor arena complex and showcase an impressive selection of young stock.
In addition to the indoor arena opening, the Open Day will feature parading of elite stock currently for sale, including foals, young horses, and several under saddle. Two year olds will be free-jumped. An Open Day discount of 10% will apply to catalogue horses sold on or before the day.
There are seven 2011, seven 2010 and five 2009 top quality youngsters available for sale, as well as three equally inspiring ridden horses. Some of the outstanding bloodlines on offer include Vivant, Daley K, Charlemagne Ego Z, Cassini I, Diarado, Romany Ego Z and Camelot Ego Z. Oaks Sport Horses are especially excited about their 2011 young stock. They believe in concentrating on performance breeding and the quality of their mares - pedigree, type, temperament and performance. Their horses possess the best European breeding with the benefit of being raised in Australia, which is producing superior quality, world class horses.
Special Auction
A Special Auction will be another highlight of the Open Day! The first horse up for auction will be Oaks Diamantina, the 2011 filly out of Oaks Pro Ratina, by young European sensation, Diarado. This 2011 filly is out of the beautiful Westfalian mare, Pro Ratina, who has jumped with amazing scope and technique throughout her career. Diamantina’s sire is Diarado, champion of the 2007 Holstein licensing, described by Holstein breeding director Thomas Nissen, as a “winning stallion with vast charisma”. This filly is not only a potential competition champion, but has the pedigree to become an invaluable addition to any serious breeding program.
The second item for auction is a service to Baluga, Chris and Helen Chugg's newly arrived Balou de Rouet
An exciting addition to the Diamond B stable, Baluga is a licensed Hanovarian stallion. He is modern, correct and elegant and scored 9.04 for jumping in his 30 day licensing test. Baluga is by the best sire son of Baloubet de Rouet, Balou. His dam line is equally impressive. He is by Carismo (son of the legendary Calypso II), the winning colt of his selection year. Carismo is noted for his ability to pass on trainability and ridability to his progeny, which are well represented in both jumping and dressage. Helen Chugg says.”
