One Week to Go Until Sydney International 3DE!

Only one week to go until the Sydney International 3DE, a key event for riders aiming for the London Olympic Games. As one of the final opportunities for Australian based riders to impress selectors ahead of the 2012 Games, you can expect to see all the potential Olympians out to prove themselves - Craig Barrett, Emma Mason, Natalie Blundell, Sonja Johnson, Stuart Tinney, Christine Bates, Emma Scott, Megan Jones, Shane Rose and Tim Boland. 

The event also features the Greater Sydney World Cup Jumping Qualifier, Young Jumping Horse Classes and the NSW Equitation Jumping Championships.

 

On Saturday evening, from 4.00pm the jumping spectacular will be held in the indoor arena, with a Best of British theme, everyone can wish the Aussie Olympic Team good luck on their road to London.

First up is the World Cup warm up class where contenders will compete over an impressive 1.45m track designed by Brad Longhurst. Next is a dog agility demonstration. With only two weeks to go to the World Dog Agility Championships in the USA, organisers are lucky to have a dozen dogs and their handlers, including Australian Team member Siegfried Clever, to showcase this sport.

The Young Riders then take centre court to do battle before Carolyn Wagner and her Grand Prix horse Tango V will dance their way around the jumps illustrating the finesse of Freestyle Dressage. Finally the Miniature Horses show what jumping is really about and the dogs will wrap up the evening in the ring with one final demo.

The bar will be open from 6.00pm and dinner can be purchased on the night. Singer Tommy Pickett will provide tunes until late.
