Published on Friday, June 24, 2011 in General

Inglis held their 2011 Australian Weanling and Bloodstock Sale this week and today, the final day of the sale, will feature all sorts of mixed Thoroughbreds from broodmares, through to racing stock.

“The Supplementary entries have been a great addition to what was already a very strong catalogue and I am sure buyers across all ranges will find many appealing horses at Newmarket this sale,” Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said.

If you're looking to buy a nice Thoroughbred to breed with or for hacking, dressage, jumping, eventing or just general riding - go along to the Inglis Newmarket facility at 10.30am where over 200 horses are set to go under the hammer.

Para equestrian Jan Pike is reaching for the stars with her ex-racehorse, Pinky, while elite showjumper, Paula Hamood, says one of her best ever showjumpers, Torchbearer, is a Thoroughbred.  Not to mention all the stunning Thoroughbred hacks and hunters out there and the many breeds that Thoroughbreds cross beautifully with - looking to breed a champion western-style hunter? You can't go past crossing the western breeds with a Thoroughbred for that extra height, elegance and length of stride. Want to add speed to your stock horses? A Thoroughbred is the girl for the job!

We all know many Thoroughbreds go on to be super stars in other disciplines after their racing days and your future champion could be found at Newmarket today! If you are unable to get to the sale - follow the links below to view the catalogue and bid online.
