Police Horse Dies at Kalamunda Show
Published on Sunday, April 17, 2011 in General
Western Australian Police have confirmed that a police horse was electrocuted at the Kalamunda Show in the Perth Hills, Western Australia. Hercules, a 16 year old Clydesdale, was working at the Show when his rider came off and Hercules fell to the ground near a metal light pole. Police say Hercules appeared to recover, but collapsed and died after passing near the light pole again. This tragedy follows on from a similar incident in England, where it was discovered two races horses died from electrocution, at Newbury Racecourse in February.
