Two members of the Canadian rock band Saga, bassist Jim Crichton and former member and original keyboardist Peter Rochon are teaming up to produce original all world freestyle music for international dressage competition riders. They are targeting the 2012 Reem Acra FEI World Cup Finalfor Dressage as well as the 2012 Olympics in England as timely opportunities to offer their services. 

Following on his rock music career, Rochon became a business development consultant in several fields including music. Two passions: an appreciation for high level dressage and musical composition led him to producing Kurs over the past decade. Rochon provided a number of world class freestyles for top Canadian riders including some members of the Olympic teams. His work for Ashley Holzer  and her horse Reipo played well at the 1989 Nashua World Cup in Gothenberg,Sweden.   

Crichton has also pursued varied musical directions. Over the last two decades, as he recorded and performed with his band Saga in Europe and North America, he also professionally created and produced music and video of varying styles and categories for many well known artists such as The Scorpions, Jessica Simpson, Ozzy Osbourne and Southpark, to name a few. Crichton's own Sound Image Studios  in California was part of a full service audio and video production company offering full service in television, movie and music production. Given their history, these two rock artists are an intriguing creative duo with a formidable array of musical composing, arranging and production skills and a long list of credits.

It was Rochon who decided after receiving a number of inquiries that it was time to contact Crichton.

In October 2011, they finally got together for the first time in years when Rochon was invited on stage in Montreal to play several numbers he originally co-wrote with the band.  After many years, this episode re-ignited their desire to create music together.

As a result, the dressage world could soon be in for some new and amazing freestyle Kur music.
