Published on Monday, August 13, 2012 in Sponsored Shows

Euroa, in the Thoroughbred heartland of Victoria, will again bring to the Shire of Strathbogie the ‘Prydes EasiFeed Euroa Jumping Classic’ for 2012.  This will be a two day jumping spectacular at the historic Euroa Show Grounds on the 1-2 September, 2012.

The Euroa Jumping Classic will show case all levels of competitors and horses from the professional showjumper to the pony club rider.  This Olympic sport is full of colour and excitement with man and beast working together in a thrilling sporting competition. It is one of a few sports where men and women compete on an equal playing field to create a great sport for spectators.  Entry is free to all spectators and this weekend is a great opportunity for even the ‘non-horsey’ person to enjoy a great day out and watch some of the country’s best showjump riders and their horses, tough it out for over $10,000 in prize money. Come and learn about the sport of showjumping, meet some great people and see  outstanding horse flesh.

Horsezone is keen to support showjumping around Australia and we are the main sponsor of this year’s Young Rider class.

The Euroa region is well known for the annual show and shine, its wonderful wines and as being the North Eastern ‘Thoroughbred heartland’ hosting several of the countries largest breeding studs for the racing industry. The Prydes EasiFeed Euroa Jumping Classic will help to highlight the region's equine connections with one of the feature classes being sponsored by the local stud owners and breeders and supported by the Victorian Racing Club. The event will bring together performance horses and the Thoroughbred connection that Euroa has held for so long.

Local thoroughbred stud owner Bronwyn Hawking says, “I look forward to seeing the high level performance horse competing and to know and see that horses have another opportunity to perform after they finish their racing career”.

A trade stand area will be in operation this year, with well recognised equine business’s such as Antares Australia, Castlefin Equine, Buckskin Jodhpurs, Kool It Wraps, just to name a few, will be in attendance as well as professional saddle fitter Trevor O’Dea from O’Deas Saddlery, who will be attending throughout the whole weekend to do on-site saddle fittings. There will be plenty to see and do for both riders and the general public and you'll be able to enjoy a barista coffee or some homemade food supplied by the local Euroa Agricultural Society Ladies.

Mark it in your diaries - Saturday and Sunday 1-2 September, a fantastic family day out and a great opportunity to see some of the best showjumpers ‘strut their stuff’ at the Euroa showgrounds.
