The 2012 World Quarter Horse Show Downunder or Q12 as it is known, has been run and won with some great performances witnessed over the two weeks of competition.

Horsezone sponsored the Youth Western Horsemanship 15–18 years, which was won by Liz Christian riding Triandibo Flamin Lynx. Liz is heading to Germany in July as a member of the AQHA Youth World Cup Team and we wish her all the best.

Queensland youth, who travelled to Tamworth and had a great show, included Jess Duffy who won the Youth Showmanship 12-14 years at her first Nationals, with Brooke Chapman’s lovely gelding A Cool Breeze; Emlyn Broad who won three National Titles, two Reserves and had some great placings with Chris Sewell's beautiful, Hypnotize; Gabrielle Brown, Michael Webb and Holly McCredden who won National Championships or placed well, including first, second and third in the Youth Preliminary Dressage out of 13!

Horsezone’s own Managing Director, Mark Webster, also had great success when his lovely two year old gelding, Tiger On The Loose (ridden by Holly Johnson) won the Two Year Old Hunter Under Saddle Championship.

Well done also to Hollie Shiels and her horse HL Thats Gold, who won the Hack over 15hh Championship and the Preliminary Dressage. We chatted to Hollie last year when she won at her first Nationals and it’s great to see her follow that up again this year.

Congratulations to all winners and competitors on a fantastic show!
