Royal Melbourne Show Results - Final Results

It's Royal Melbourne Show time and Horsezone is proud to be sponsoring the Horses in Action program!

Horsezone is awarding four beautiful trophy rugs for winners of Champion Show Hunter Pony 12.2hh and Under; Champion Show Hunter Pony Over 12.2hh and Not Exc 14hh; Champion Show hunter Galloway; and Champion Show Hunter Hack over 15hh.The Horses In Action program is a long standing competition at the Royal Melbourne Show with the finest riders and horses competing for prestigious blue ribbons.

Features of the horse program include the Garryowen Equestrienne Turnout, Showjumping and new in 2011 Exhibition Eventing as well as Australian Stock Horses, Clydesdales, tradesman and delivery, light harness and Saddle classes.

Garryowen Equestrienne Turnout

Australia's most prestigious horse showing event, the Garryowen Equestrienne Turnout, will continue a 77-year tradition with the finest female riders vying for the coveted trophy. The event honours the memory of Violet Murrell who died while trying to save her champion horse Garryowen and will take place on Coca-Cola Arena on Thursday 29 September.

Showjumping

World-class showjumping will take place from Saturday 1 October to Tuesday 4 October on Coca-Cola Arena. Highlights include the Pacific League World Cup Showjumping qualifier event on Sunday 2 October and the crowd favourite Six Bar jumping event under lights on Monday 3 October.

Eventing

New to this year's program is Exhibition Eventing which will feature on the Coca-Cola arena on Friday 30 September. Watch on as riders compete in two phases, Dressage and a combined Showjumping and Cross-country course to be crowned the winner of Royal Melbourne Show's first Exhibition Eventing competition. The competition is a qualifier for the first ever Exhibition Eventing Final at EQUITANA Sydney in November 2011.
