Showjumper Jessica Tripp to Represent Australia in Mexico
Published on Friday, December 14, 2012 in General
Young showjumper Jessica Tripp will join an elite group of riders when she represents Australia at next year's 12-14 years FEI Children's International Classic in Mexico, reports the North Shore Times.
Jessica, 14, is only the third Australian to qualify for the final featuring the world's top 16 showjumpers.
Last year, the year 9 student represented Australia at the International Children's Jumping Competition in Colombia.
The Terrey Hills teenager said she was feeling nervous and excited about competing in her first final.
"I'm hoping just to get some nice runs," she said.
"I'm not really expecting to win, I will just try and do my best."
