SSHOA Caravan and Equipment Stolen!

Published on Saturday, August 13, 2011 in General

The Sutherland Shire Horse Owners Association has announced with great regret that they have to cancel their dressage event, scheduled for 21 August 2011, due to their caravan, complete with all equipment, being stolen.

The committee are absolutely devastated about calling off this event as it was the second last event for 2011 and every competitor's chance to gain more points for all the special awards.

Cheques will be returned in the next week and the committee thanks everyone for their continued support.

There appears to be very little chance of the caravan and equipment being recovered and as neither were insured, it is going to be a tremendous job to replace everything by the Championships in November.

The committee have requested that members and friends be on the alert for anyone trying to sell off arenas and equipment, including tent, tables, chairs, barbecue, urn, championship sashes, veterinary products (prizes), scoring gear and calculators... to name a few of the many items stored in the caravan.

The caravan is a cream Nomad Traveller with a pull out annex on the door side. Registration plate (if not changed) is Q52614. The photo below shows the weathering to the name, which might help identify the caravan.

If you have any information on the stolen caravan or equipment please call Joy Charlton (4653 1532) or Miranda Police (02 9541 3899).
