SSJC Winter Showjumping Championships - Day 1: Results & Photos

The SSJC Winter Champs completed day one of their 2 day championships at Clarendon on Saturday despite earlier fears that the weather would not be in their favour. The grounds were soft but the course designers continued to move jumps throughout the day to give competitors the best footing possible. 

SSJC vice president Karinda Alpert said it will be a busy weekend for organisers with 1360 rounds of showjumping scheduled.

Thanks go to the course designers (CD) and judges (J) in all 4 rings: Arena 1-CD David Neale, J Jenny Neal, Arena 2 CD Mark Atkins, J Jan Golding, Arena 3 CD Aran Ghafouri, J  Bridget Cross, Arena 4 CD Robert Howarth, J Joyce Brook.

The only incident of the day was a visit to emergency for Clair Watkinson with a suspected broken ankle. Best wishes to Clair for a speedy recovery

Competition continues tomorrow and spectators are welcomed. There are plenty of refreshments and activities for the littlees.
