Stolen from Bundaberg Showgrounds

Published on Saturday, February 12, 2011 in General

Between Saturday 6 February and Tuesday 8 February the following equipment belonging to the Burnett Wide Bay Regional Appaloosa Club was stolen from Bundaberg Showgrounds:

1.  The club's white canteen van (pictured left and right), with round hole in doorway for chain and padlock, three opening sides, containing crockery, eskys, tables, chairs, electric jug, electric cords and extension leads, spare tyre, first aid kit; and

2.  The club's large trailer (back part of trailer pictured below), complete with all trail gear, including painted logs x approx 20, wooden bridge in 2 parts, white 4 ft gate (all pictured below), large tool box structure screwed to front of trailer full of bunting, pegs, hammer, witches hats.

BWBRAC Club members are devastated by the loss of this equipment, which will mean they are unable to run any shows or clinics until its return or replacement. The club loved their mobile canteen which could be taken to different venues or out into the bush if they went trail riding.

Club Treasurer Bronwyn Tucker said, "we cannot believe that people would be so cruel as to take our canteen, trailer and trail gear.  Dedicated members have built this club up with 28 years of blood, sweat and tears and now someone has done this.  The cost of replacing this equipment will take all the club's funds. We would really appreciate any information, even if people see a coloured pole lying around where it shouldn't be, please contact us or the police."

The club is offering a reward for the return of the van and trailer with gear.  Please contact Bronwyn Tucker on 0402 201 032 or alternatively please phone the Bundaberg Police Station on 07 4153 9111 if you have any information.
