Stolen Ponies Found Last Night!

The three ponies stolen from Mahogany Park Stud were found safe last night in a paddock not far from their home.

Owner Emma Spedding said, "The police told me the longer the ponies are missing the harder it will be to find them, so yesterday was day five and I was definitely frantic. I'd been driving around the area constantly checking for them and then last night, there they suddenly were in this locked paddock! They definitely had not been there before. I don't know how they got there and I'm just so happy to have them back. They are a bit light on and the fillies are a little swollen in the joints, but otherwise they look well."

"All three ponies were very happy to be back with their mates when I returned them to their home paddock."

I also think the fact they had very visible brands would have made it hard for anyone to move them on. Sale yards don't check for microchips prior to selling horses but brands are so obvious they are hard to ignore!"

We are just pleased for Emma that she's gotten her beloved ponies back and hope this sends a message to anyone else who thinks they can steal horses and get away with it.
