Super Stallion Services Donated for Flood Relief

Published on Thursday, January 27, 2011 in 2011 Queensland Floods

Horsezone’s Stallion Service Auction for Flood Relief, being run in conjunction with Equestrian Australia, is gaining traction with some quality stallions being offered by the generous horse community.

Leading Australian dressage couple Heath and Rozzie Ryan have donated services to their Grand Prix stallions Jive Magic and Regardez Moi (pictured) while Veronica Hazleton of Statford Horse Stud has committed services to some of their jumping/eventing sires.

Karen Waterman of Karinga Equestrian was quick to jump on board and has offered services to her three dressage stallions including two imports in the Sandro Hit son, Sandrels and Dornkaart who is by Don Primero.

Also quick to get behind the initiative was Nikki Shegog of Touens Park Arabians with her three boys Joda Alluvial, Shai’lan SHAH and Lord Alexander of Seven Oaks.

Being affected by the floods themselves didn't stop Christophe and Phoebe Colomina, of Chrisphoe Thoroughbreds from being amongst the first on board, offering services to their stunning imported sires Genereux and Investor's Dream.

Horsezone's Business Manager, Haylie Martin commented on the response so far "The support to date has been great. In saying that you just had to watch Hamish and Dave's moving episode of the devastation in Queensland to see that we need a heap more donations to really make a difference."

Other breeds featured include appaloosas, paints, quarter horses, riding ponies, sportaloosas, stock horses, thoroughbreds and more warmbloods. Click here for the full list to date and information on donating.

Stallions included in the online auction (which will run from 14 – 18 February) will receive a year’s free stallion listing on Horsezone with service donations being taken for another 10 days.
