Sydney Jumping Championships a huge success: Results & Photos

After being postponed from December due to heavy rain, the Sydney Showjumping Club Committee were relieved to have beautiful weather for their Sydney Jumping Championships on the weekend of 17th and 18th January 2015. 

Held over two days, the entries were down a little due to the date change, but this only served to make it more enjoyable for competitors and organisers who werent under pressure to get the numbers through.

The success of the event was a culmination of preparation and planning by the hard working committee led by Event Director- the tireless Jenny Sheppard who also had to pick up all the stable rides after partner Andrew Inglis was injured in a fall.

The grounds were superb and the courses were all good with compliments a plenty for guest Victorian course designer Gavin Chester in the main arena.

"Gavin shows the same amazing talent and flair that he had as a rider now as a Course Designer!" Colleen Brook enthused.

Sue Bettington, Aran Ghafouri and Rob Howarth designed the other three rings. Chief judge was Katrina Dukats, with Juho Looveer, Susan Nault, Linda Beneke and Joyce Brook judging the other rings.
