Sydney Showjumping Club End Of Year Championships: Results & Photos

Two days of superb showjumping made the Sydney Showjumping Club's End of Year Championships for 2015 one of the most successful on record! 

SSJC Club President David Lawrence said “This has been without a doubt the most successful Championships to date. The grounds were superb, the weather gods were good to us and the committee excelled themselves on all fronts”.

Excellent course designing  by   Susan Bettington from Scone in Ring one,  Graeme Watts from Queensland in Ring two,  Aran Ghafouri in ring three and  Gary Haynar in ring four ensured challenging but fair tracks.

It was two long days for our wonderful judges Joyce Brook (SSJC Patron) in ring four, Katrina Dukats in ring three, Grahame Davey in ring two and Jenny Neale in ring one.

The feature event of the Championships, the Emcee Equestrian Apparel Grand Prix was won by Western Australian visitor David Dobson riding Oaks Zena.

George Johnson from Nelson won the Dural Horseland Mini Prix on Wondaree Sprite.

Emily Mann won the Hawkesbury Physiotherapy Young Rider Championships and   Clare Watkinson on the wonderful 22year old The Love Bug won the Amateur Championships.

Karinda Alpert (SSJC Vice President) manages  the entry system and did an amazing job to see 350 riders complete 1560 jumping rounds in four rings over two full days ! Truly a massive management effort!

Riders are looking forward now to the Summer Classic at SIEC next weekend as the final event on the Sydney Showjumping Calendar.
