Tickets Now on Sale for 2011 PSI Dressage & Jumping with the Stars
Just in time for Christmas, tickets for the 2011 PSI Dressage & Jumping with the Stars (March 24 – 26) have been released for sale. Held at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre, PSI DJWTS promises three full days of exciting dressage and jumping competitions including the Australian Young Dressage Horse Championships, a CDI-W Grand Prix/Grand Prix Freestyle, Prix St Georges Cup, Young Jumping Horse classes and a Jumping Grand Prix.
The Saddleworld Masterclasses are always popular with the spectators and an event highlight, and 2011 will be no exception, with two outstanding international guests presenting. And in a first for PSI DJWTS, both the Masterclass presenters will join forces on the Thursday evening to co-present “Preparing the Equine Athlete”.
German dressage and eventing star, Ingrid Klimke, will present the Saddleworld Dressage Masterclass as well as riding the top 3 horse finalists in each of the age groups. Daughter of the legendary German dressage rider and trainer, Dr Reiner Klimke, Ingrid is an extremely talented young horse trainer whilst also competing successfully at the elite level in dressage and eventing. In eventing she is a three time Olympian with achievements including team gold at Beijing 2008, team gold at the 2006 WEG, and individual bronze at the 2005 European Championships. In the dressage arena Ingrid has had many top 10 placings at the WCYDH titles and Bundeschampionships. A highlight has been producing Damon Hill to win two WCYDH titles and then progressing through to Grand Prix, another was finishing 7th at the 2002 World Cup Final with Nector van het Carelshof.
Greg Best, international showjumper and trainer will be presenting the Saddleworld Jumping Masterclass. Greg is best known for partnering the famous Gem Twist at international level, winning silver in the team and individual events at the 1988 Seoul Olympics representing America, followed by a top 4 finish at the 1990 WEG. He relocated to New Zealand in the early 90’s where he now operates a training, breeding and sales centre. Primarily now a coach he has also been a National Showjumping Selector, a member of the Showjumping High Performance Committee and the National Showjumping Coach, coaching the NZ team at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
