Top Result for Kiwi Showjumper in Rich NY Class
Published on Monday, September 12, 2011 in General
Californian based Kiwi Duncan McFarlane and his lovely big Hanoverian showjumper Mr Whoopy have finished second in the Pfizer $1million grand prix in New York.
McFarlane and Andre Thieme (GER) aboard Aragon Rouet were the only two through to the jump-off from the 44 starters.
McFarlane threw everything at it and while he notched the fastest time of the two – 1.35 seconds faster – he paid for his speed with two rails.
It was a star-studded line-up including former Olympians and champs, and McFarlane pockets $US200,000 for his efforts.
The combination were eighth in the same class last year.
