Torryburn Stud is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the inaugural Gresford Show Off The Track Thoroughbred Classic.

To be held on 12 March 2016 at the 84th Gresford Show, the class will be open to thoroughbreds who have trialled or raced at a local, national or international level.

Two classes, a led class and a ridden class will be held with prizemoney of $500 cash plus a garland to be awarded to the winner of the ridden class and $200 cash plus a garland awarded to the winner of the led class.  There will be rosettes to 6th place.

Each class will be judged by a professional from the thoroughbred industry with the ridden class being judged in conjunction with the judge of the open hack classes.

Torryburn Stud owner John Cornish said, “It is very important to us to support our local community and what better way to do it than by promoting the versatility of the thoroughbred breed and the great life they can lead after racing, at our local show”.

The winner and runner up of the ridden class will also be eligible to compete at the 2016 NSW/ACT Off The Track State Final.

Gresford Show President Tim Capp said, “It is wonderful to have Torryburn Stud supporting Gresford Show and we look forward to these new classes becoming a regular feature of our ring events.
