Treat for Melbourne Locals this Sunday

Published on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in General

Melbourne locals are being invited to soak up the atmosphere at Inglis' Oaklands Junction complex this weekend as it embraces equine royalty at the Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

Visitors can enjoy racehorse parades, live music and entertainment, horse inspections and a showcase of local produce and wine. Also on site will be Kaye Glendenning-Jones of EJ&Co with her range of equestrian inspired jewellery.

Inglis will auction a service to two stallions from Eliza Park Stud - Bel Esprit and Statue of Liberty - during the day.

Auction proceeds will be donated to Living Legends. Model Alisha Brundell, pictured, dropped in to say hello to thoroughbred Might and Power.

The 2011 Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale and open day is at William Inglis & Son, 285 Oaklands Road, Oaklands Junction, from noon-3pm on Sunday.

The sale itself will start on Monday 28 February and will see 725 youngsters go under the hammer, finishing up on 3 March. Click here for the catalogue and more information on the Sale.
